1. Introduction

MotoGearIQ(“we”, “us”, “our”) is a platform for motorcycle enthusiasts to document and share their bike builds, modifications, and gear, plan trips, and connect with other riders. Users can create profiles, add bikes to their garage, post reviews, follow other riders, and discover content — with selected features powered by AI. Limited preview features (such as public search or a guest trip planner) may be available without an account and are subject to technical limits.

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the MotoGearIQwebsite and services. By accessing or using MotoGearIQ, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

2. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or using any part of MotoGearIQ, you confirm that you are at least 16 years old (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction), that you have read and understood these Terms, and that you agree to be bound by them.

We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the platform after changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms. We will make reasonable efforts to notify you of material changes.

3. User Accounts

MotoGearIQallows users to submit content including posts, reviews, gear listings, modifications (“mods”), bike build entries, trip itineraries and waypoints you save to your account, and related materials such as shared links or invitations you send through the service (collectively, “User Content”).

By submitting User Content, you grant MotoGearIQ a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to use, display, reproduce, and distribute that content in connection with operating and promoting the platform.

You retain ownership of your User Content. You are solely responsible for ensuring your content does not infringe any third-party rights, including intellectual property rights.

We do not endorse any User Content and reserve the right to remove content that violates these Terms or our community guidelines.

5. Prohibited Conduct

When using MotoGearIQ, you agree not to:

• Post false, misleading, or fraudulent reviews or content.
• Spam, repeatedly post the same content, or engage in manipulative behaviour.
• Scrape, crawl, or programmatically extract data from the platform without our prior written consent.
• Impersonate any person or entity, or misrepresent your affiliation with any person or entity.
• Use the platform for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable law or regulation.
• Harass, abuse, or harm other users.
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the platform or its underlying systems.
• Upload or transmit viruses, malware, or any other malicious code.

6. Intellectual Property

The MotoGearIQ name, logo, and all platform content created by us — including design, text, graphics, and software — are the intellectual property of MotoGearIQ and are protected by applicable copyright and trademark laws.

You may not copy, reproduce, modify, or distribute any part of the platform without our prior written permission, except as permitted by these Terms or applicable law.

7. Affiliate Links

MotoGearIQ may display links to third-party products and retailers. Some of these links may be affiliate links, meaning we may earn a commission if you make a purchase through them, at no additional cost to you.

Affiliate links are clearly associated with product listings. We only link to products we believe may be relevant to our community. Affiliate relationships do not influence user reviews or community ratings.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

MotoGearIQis provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.

We do not warrant that the platform will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses or other harmful components. AI-generated content on the platform is provided for informational purposes only and should not be relied upon as professional advice.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, MotoGearIQ and its officers, directors, employees, and agents shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages — including loss of data, revenue, or goodwill — arising out of or in connection with your use of the platform.

Our total aggregate liability to you for any claims arising under these Terms shall not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or (b) £50.

10. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising under or in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
